Preparation for the launch of NEVAM-MARKETS 2.0 is officially underway in Traditional Authority Chimutu, Lilongwe District. To ensure this project is rooted in the community from day one, Agri Impact recently held a series of critical engagement meetings with local Village Development Committees (VDCs) under the Chiwamba EPA.
At the heart of this phase is community ownership. By sitting down with community leadership, a clear and collaborative story is beginning to take shape. Together, we briefed the VDCs on the core goals, timelines, and expected impacts of the project so that everyone is moving forward with a unified vision. At the same time, we worked hand-in-hand with these local leaders to identify and select the specific farmer clubs that will participate in and drive this initiative forward.
Real agricultural resilience starts with these grassroots partnerships. The insights and warm reception from the Chiwamba VDCs have set a strong foundation for building better market linkages and improving household incomes. Step by step, a stronger, more market-oriented community is taking shape.
